Pioneering in technology is like being the lone man dancing
At Sitrion we work with over 400 of the world’s leading companies that we are proud to call our customers. Every day, they forge forward on the pioneering edge of enterprise digital technology and pave the way to make work better for their employees. It’s not easy being first out of the gate. Having lead a collaboration and Intranet team at a big, very corporate, investment bank in my previous career, I know first-hand how hard it can be to keep your head high and keep on dancing.
A mentor of mine and world-renowned global change agent and digital provocateur, Annalie Killian, once shared a video with me of the lone man dancing. On days when I was out in front of the pack waving the collaboration and “new way” of working flag, she said “keep on dancing, Luke; eventually they will all follow.” One of the leadership lessons I learned long ago.
And if you keep dancing, it will eventually pay off!
Today, we congratulate the AWESOME team I have the pleasure of working with from MasterCard. They, like many others, have danced the lone dance. From an idea, to a concept, to a prototype, to a movement… their work has paid off! They have been awarded the Ragan 2014 Employee Communication Award for Best Social Intranet. Their awesome Intranet uses Sitrion Social to power its core functionality and enables their 6,000+ global employees to collaborate better, be more connected, and stay closer to MasterCard’s vision and strategy.
Congratulations Jerry Canaday, our super champion at MasterCard, and all of his team members in the communications group. Today your work paid off and you received the accolade you deserve! Bask in the glory that is yours. And to everyone else just starting out on your social journey or seeking the next jump in success, my advice - keep on dancing!
