Everything is Mobile

We’ve just arrived at our 10th anniversary. It has been a journey of a lot of success and numerous challenges. Today we’re opening a new chapter for our company.

10 Years of Dancing with the Dinosaurs

Today we are the market leader in enterprise social software for Microsoft SharePoint and there is nobody better in bringing complex SAP processes to people in a connected and collaborative way. Industry analysts including Gartner and Forrester give us positive marks for this and we were even recognized as Microsoft U.S. Partner of the year and by Gartner as SAP Cool Vendor in the SAP Ecosystem.

5.3 million individuals are more engaged, better connected, make smarter decisions and ultimately are more productive thanks to Sitrion technology.

Yet, dancing with the dinosaurs such as Microsoft and SAP can limit your options as they are huge and move very slowly. It came as a great refresher to see Microsoft’s bet on the cloud and SAP’s series of cloud acquisitions. While it initially left the market in a frozen state of confusion, it opened new doors for us. It has been a painful process for us to navigate through but today we’re in great shape to deliver on our vision to make work better.

Cloud was Foreplay

Our product lineup is awesome, customers love us, and we have had a great deal of success in the market. Our story is strong for those who have invested in Microsoft or SAP and we are committed to that market. But the big question we faced, as both Microsoft and SAP bet on the cloud, was: “Should we rebuild the entire offering again in the cloud?”

Yes, but not the way you think.

When we started to bring social technology to the workplace, most customers tried to retrofit their existing structures and known working patterns. Today we see the same with the cloud. But ‘work’ is a complex problem and delivering the same capability through a different mechanism isn’t making it better.

“Cloud computing enticed many business departments and companies to become more agile with their applications, but it still fundamentally did not enable new processes to significantly improve business value.”
–‘The Future of Enterprise Applications Is Mobility’, Gartner July 2014

The cloud was just foreplay. It made us more agile, opened our eyes to what is possible, but ultimately didn’t significantly improve business value. The analysts conclude that mobile is the greater long-term value as it allows for new processes and access that wasn’t possible before.

I couldn’t agree more and this summarizes our vision so well. It is not about the mechanics of how to deliver a solution. It is about how to add real business value.

Sitrion ONE - Everything is Mobile

We’ve been working on this for more than two years and I am super excited to see our latest version of Sitrion ONE to be released in just a few days. All of the wonderful use cases we address, be it employee engagement, connecting your employees, or making smarter decisions are now mobilized. This is not just putting capabilities on a mobile device but truly mobilized from the ground up.

You have to see it to believe it. And if you’d like to see it, get a free demo today.

There is a fundamental shift in how work gets done. We used to go to work. Today work comes to us. Most employees consider the ability to work remotely and off-hours on a mobile device as something positive or strongly positive. In the near future the smartphone penetration will reach 80%. There will be nobody non-mobile any more.

Adapting to the Mobile World

In such a mobile world, work will be fundamentally different. Some dinosaurs will make the transition, others will be replaced by faster and more agile mammals. We are aligning our entire company behind the mobile view of the future. We will stay committed to our great solutions for SharePoint and SAP. But we will not stop there. Our latest release of Sitrion ONE is a great example how to combine the beauty of the social workplace with the productivity of business processes in a truly mobile fashion. After 10 years we understand the way employees work and how to find the right mix of innovation and best practice.

Our mission is to unlock the power of connected people.
Our vision is to Make Work Better
.

Making work better is the guiding idea for us. Will we do this in the cloud? Yes! Will we support your on-premise environment? Yes! Will we do everything mobile? Yes, Yes, Yes!
