This week a team of Sitrion staff were lucky to head out to Chicago for the Microsoft Ignite 2015 event. It was the first Microsoft mega-conference and we were very excited to be a part of it. Everyone I spoke to was enjoying the diverse content program and were definitely seeing the benefits of having a larger, merged event. There was a lot of buzz about SharePoint 2016 and there was a demo on the big screen (to a full house which you can see in the pic above!). Providing an improved user experience, a hybrid cloud approach, and improved compliance and reporting, it’s definitely clear that Microsoft continues to invest in SharePoint and that they want to provide ways to leverage the cloud. We can’t wait to learn more about SharePoint 2016 as it comes to light.
This week we also showcased Sitrion ONE, our next-generation mobile productivity solution at Ignite. With Sitrion ONE our customers can quickly deploy hundreds of out of the box mobile use cases that leverage their investments in Office 365 - as well as their on premises technologies in the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
A special thanks to everyone who came along on Monday night to join us for our opening party for Ignite. We love catching up with our customers! We especially love it when we get to see so many of them at the same time. I was personally thrilled to meet so many that I’ve only ever met online before, and from all corners of the world as far away as Sweden (I mean you Trelleborg!).
The party was held at the Skydeck on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower in downtown Chicago as a joint event with our good friends at SPR Consulting. The room was packed and I believe there was even a line to get in from time to time. As you can imagine, on a clear night like it was this week the views were phenomenal. One of our customers who is from the Chicago area actually said to me “on a clear night from here you can see all the way to Denver." I think he was joking but it sure did feel like you could see a long way.
Thanks again to everyone who joined us at the SkyDeck! We can’t wait to see you all again soon.
