This is the note I sent to the team at Sitrion. And while it is focused on us internally, it gives you an idea how grateful we are for all the opportunities you gave us in 2016.
As 2016 comes to an end, I want to take a minute to reflect what a year it’s been for us. Growing the Sitrion business like we did in 2016 just feels awesome. That didn’t come over night. The years of patiently working on our vision, our products, and with our clients has been the foundation to our current results.
We see more and more companies embrace what mobile can do for their employees and the spirit is infectious. I recently got to sit down with our customer HealthSouth and you can’t help but leave the conversation inspired. The work we are able to do with Microsoft – both as our customer and our partner - is also really exciting. Supporting a leader in technology to make work better is motivating. The feedback on Sitrion ONE from the many other customers and the numerous awards underlines that we can be truly grateful for the opportunities we’ve been given in 2016.
As I reflect on 2016, the words that stuck with me are “Patience” and “Persistence.” We patiently waited for the market to catch up with our vision and by staying true to our beliefs, we see great things are happening. I encourage all of you to practice this same patience and persistence in your personal lives.
“Patience you must have my young padawan.” – Yoda
While it sometimes feels like the world is falling apart, we’re actually living in one of the most peaceful times in human history. And while it's sometimes hard to believe, we’re more tolerant, better educated and have more opportunities than ever before.
Those achievements make it so important that we continue in respectful and open debates about the things we really care about. Not just in public, but also at dinner tables, with our spouses, our kids, our families, and friends. No matter which issues are top of your mind, be patient, but be bold. Look what we’ve seen in just our small sample here at Sitrion. The patience to stay strong will pay off. Generations before us have taught us that.
I am very grateful for all the wonderful work you have done for this company, for our amazing customers, but also for the many communities you engage around the globe. I truly hope you have some wonderful days with your families, to recharge your batteries to take on 2017 with that very same spirit that helped us succeed in 2016.
