Recently the German federal environment ministry released a few commercials about climate protection. One of them showed how important it can be to turn off lights. Turning off lights when you leave a room just takes you a micro moment. They stated if every German household would save 5% of its energy, it will save seven terawatt-hours/year. This could shutdown at least one big, coal-fired power station, and all of this can be achieved just within micro moments.
Looking at the business side of things, micro moments can increase productivity for everyone by just making better use of our daily behaviors. Based on the Internet Advertising Bureau, Britain’s look at their mobile device, on average, 34 times a day. Why not provide everyone with the ability to take care of tasks and approvals during that time – lightweight information as micro moments which can be consumed and executed upon while you’re doing the things you do anyway?
To follow our philosophy "make work better," we are taking the next step with our enterprise mobility solution, Sitrion ONE. In a blog post earlier this year, I talked about how easy it is already today to mobilize processes with ONE. ONE is not just about a mobile app or a mobile application development platform, it's about a real, full mobile experience with close-to-zero effort to get up-to-speed.
Mobilizing processes was the first step to follow our "mobile first" strategy. So why shouldn’t we make good things even better and take the next step from mobilized processes to mobilized micro moments?
