The Collective is just around the corner, rolling into Orlando, Amsterdam, and Sydney in May. In case you are on the fence about attending, I want to share with you my personal experience about why I love the Collective – and why you simply can’t miss it.
For this year’s event, I took over curating the agenda. By relying on my experience of attending and organizing a lot of awesome conferences over the years (and some not so good), combined with the team here at Sitrion, I’m excited to have a lineup that is the envy of many, much larger conferences. Some highlights include:
This year we had more speaking submissions from customers than ever before. During the selection process I was blown away by the quality of each submission, the passion for their new ways of working, and the general excitement about the Collective. We have selected the best of the best (and believe me they were all the best!) so you can see the groundbreaking stuff that other companies are doing. I know you will be blown away too!
Jamie and Maddie
Jamie Notter and Maddie Grant are opening the show – most known around the world for their book “Humanize – how people centric organizations succeed in a social world.” When I read their book, I was so moved by it I gave it to several senior executives at my former company for Christmas! You will have unbridled access to discuss your business issues with them at the Collective – not to mention a powerful keynote, Q&A, and a hands-on workshop with them.
On day two we have Rachel Happe – whose reputation speaks for itself in our industry. She is the principal consultant and founder of The Community Roundtable – the first (by far) of its kind in the world. Her organization helps companies (like yours) grow the discipline of community every day, while doing important research and connecting community managers (like me) with each other and with important resources. Rachel will shift your thinking and propel your social initiative in ways you never imagined.
The final day we welcome Bill Jensen (aka Mr. Simplicity) to the stage. He is the author of several awesome books I love like, “Simplicity: Working Smarter in a World of Infinite Choices,” “Disrupt! Think Epic, Be Epic.” and “The Courage Within Us.” He will also be running a hands-on workshop to close the conference that will leave you full of inspiration and ideas. Check out my colleague Stefanie’s latest blog post for more info about Bill.
I attended last year’s Collective as a customer – and I was able to meet many of you. The level of social maturity is extremely high at this event, and I took so much back to my workplace when I left – most importantly, the connections I made with my peers, across industries and functions, who are tackling the same things I am every day. So I can guarantee you will not only make new friends at this event, but you will add many new tools, connections, problems solved, and ideas to your toolbox.
Feed Your Soul
As a pioneer of the future of work, we want to feed your soul, inspire your senses, and awaken your passion – from the opening keynote and panel by Daniel Kraft, to the exciting announcements about our latest product offerings, the experience lounge, the partner exhibits, the parties, the case studies, and of course the gift bags (who could forget those!).
If you want to know more or have questions, I’m available anytime to chat.
