Finding our Latest Keynote Was Simple
Collective 2014 kicks off in Orlando in less than 3 weeks and I am super excited. This week, we added our latest keynote for Thursday, May 15th and it’s the perfect keynote for the last day of the Orlando event.
I was introduced to Bill Jensen (also known as Mr. Simplicity) through our Chief People Officer, Nancy Gill.
I reached out to Nancy for her thoughts on a possible keynote session that matched our overall theme of “making work better” and specifically someone who can talk to how to change the way we work and make a greater impact within organizations. As I quickly learned, Bill was the obvious choice.
Bill’s keynote on Thursday will be more than just a presentation; it’s a workshop that every attendee can learn from. Every year, our attendees leave the Collective full of ideas and inspired to take the next step with their initiatives - but then they get home and reality sets in. Priorities change, finding champions within an organization isn’t always easy, and the pure motivation that comes from being surrounded by like-minded thinking fades. How will you convey the power of technology and these new ways of working? How will you create buy-in and alignment when you get back to the office? How will you move big projects forward in completely new ways? Bill will share the biggest and quickest tips you will need to help your entire organization work smarter.
Bill helps companies and teams double their productivity and pursue their passions. He has spent the past 25 years studying how work gets done. His first book, Simplicity, was the number five leadership/management book on Amazon.com in 2000. His most recent books — Disrupt! Think Epic, Be Epic and The Courage Within Us — reveal the secrets of success through big, bold ideas and by unleashing your own greatness. What a perfect addition to help wrap up the Collective! We wanted a keynote who is not about the technology or best practices but someone who takes a real look at the challenges we all face every day at the office and can give us the power to “make work better” for our entire organization.
