Mobile infrastructure holds the keys to the data access kingdom
As more workers perform functions of their job via mobile, organizations need to look to components of their network infrastructure to ensure data is secure and access is easy. Email is undoubtedly a system that warrants investment on mobile, but companies should also consider how they’ve set up their wifi networks and content management systems. This, plus considerations on enterprise app development are all pieces of mobile access that businesses need to evaluate as part of their mobile strategy.
Four Tips for Enterprise Mobile App Development
Companies are turning more towards mobile apps to help workers be productive, and so app developers are making more investments into developing apps for business. Not only do apps need to be secure, but they should also be able to function with low connectivity and contain features that allow for customization depending on the industry the app is used in.
Survey: Enterprise security pros doubtful they can prevent mobile breaches
A recent survey of IT administrators shows that when it comes to mobile device security, we’re nowhere near the level required to truly prevent a data breach. While PCs are typically well protected (it doesn’t hurt that they’re usually physically within the building), mobile devices and data still need more consideration. A large number of companies either haven’t yet been attacked, or don’t even know they’ve been attacked. It goes to show that mobile device and data security should be top of mind for leadership in many companies.
