Driving Employee Engagement and Innovation
In 2012, Mercer president and CEO, Julio A. Portalatin, wanted to improve employee engagement and innovation. To achieve this goal, the company decided to redo the company's intranet, Mercer Link, and make it the destination for all employees - a true Social Workplace. In only seven months, Mercer Link was revamped with a new look, giving employees the ability to better communicate, discover expertise, and innovate.
As part of this process, Mercer utilized the Sitrion Adoption Framework to help clearly define its people engagement, business alignment, and technology enablement strategies. Toronto-based iMason, a software consulting partner, delivered the project which led to Mercer Link being named as a Top Technology Innovator on the 2013 InformationWeek 500 List.
