Mention an employee in Cloud Comm Messages
In this release, Sitrion has added the ability for writers to mention an employee in a message. This capability sends a push notification to the employee that was mentioned in the message if they have push notifications enabled and have the new mentions notification option enabled.
How to use it: Navigate to the Cloud Comm -> New message console and a new attachment option is available. When clicked, the Mention people dialog displays to allow specific users to be selected.
Select Multiple Poll Options
In this latest release, cloud comm authors can now optionally allow employees to select multiple poll options in a single poll.
How to use it: In the Cloud Comm -> New Messages console, when authoring a poll, authors can now choose between a single choice and multiple-choice poll type. Employees can then select multiple choices in the card.
Writers can now Copy an existing message
One of our most requested feature is for the ability for authors to copy an existing message as a new message.
How to use it: In the Cloud Comm -> Messages console, a new action button is available beside the edit button to copy a message. Clicking this button will open a new tab in your browser that contains the new message console with all attributes from the copied message, prefilled in the new message.
Grant Writer ability to post without group
Some of our customers would like to allow some employees with the cloud comm writer permission to be able to post globally without a group. In this release Cloud Comm admins or Tenant admins can grant this right to Cloud Comm writers.
How to use it: Navigate to Cloud Comm -> Permissions -> Writer Permissions console and you now can grant the new permission to any existing or new writers.
Assign group to channel writer permissions
This release also allows Cloud Comm or Tenant admins to grant a group the permission to write to a channel. Making any member of the group writers to a channel.
How to use it: Navigate to Cloud Comm -> Channels console and when a channel is selected a new dropdown is available next to the filter by name search box. Admins can select any existing group to grant all members permission to write to this channel.
Authors can now comment on behalf in message console
As with the ability to change the message publisher, this new feature allows authors to change a comment publisher when commenting in the message console.
How to use it: Navigate to Cloud Comm -> Messages console and select an existing message. The reactions comments section now allows authors to change who the comment author is. This capability is only available to admins and writers that have been granted the change message publisher right.
Ability to Disable likes and/or comments on messages
This version now permits more granularity on if a message should allow employees to like or comment. The new change allows authors to choose if a message enables likes, comments or both.
How to use it: In the Cloud Comm -> New Message console when disabling social interactions, you are now presented with the option of choosing which of the social interactions you wish to disable.
