Multi-Language Support for Channels

 
Sitrion has added the ability for administrators to provide channel names and descriptions for multiple different languges. When used, employees that have devices configured for a languages that a channel has configured will see the channel name and information in the configured language.
 
How to use it: Navigate to the Cloud Comm -> Channels console and you can now set titles and descriptions for multiple languages via the edit or add dialogue by selecting the language dropdown. Channel title and description will always display in the tenant default language should the language requested by an employee device not be set.
 
**This feature addition is phase 1 of a multi phased feature roll out. Setting these properties will not currently work with the existing mobile clients. Sitrion is working to release updated clients that will support this feature.

Channel Filtering

 
One of the most requested features for Sitrion ONE is Channel Filtering. This feature is finally being released and allows employees to filter their feeds on a specific channel. When employees choose to view a filtered feed, they will be presented with a channel profile that contains the channel name, description image and banner.
 
How to use it: Employees have a few different ways to access a filtered channel view.

  1. Using the search function returns channels results as part of the Sitirion ONE smart search.
  2. Tapping the channel name in a message header will bring the user to the channel page.

 
**This feature addition is phase 1 of a multi phased feature roll out. The feature is currently only available in the HTML client. Sitrion is working to release updated clients that will support this feature.

Channel Profiles

 
This release includes a new feature called channel profiles which is related to the Channel Filtering feature. Channel profiles allow administrators to set a banner and profile image for channels which will be displayed to employees when they navigate to the new channel pages as part of the channel filtering feature.
 
How to use it: Navigate to the Cloud Comm -> Channels console select the channel you would like to edit and click the edit button. Once in the edit diaglog, click the “Edit Channel Profile” button to access the channel profile editor.
 
**This feature addition is phase 1 of a multi phased feature roll out. Setting these properties will not currently work with the existing mobile clients with the exception of the HTML client. Sitrion is working to release updated clients that will support this feature.

Configurable Sender Name for earned badges

 
In this release, Sitrion has added the ability for administrators to assign a custom sender name for all badges assigned to employees with the Sitrion ONE badges feature.
 
How to use it: Navigate to the Cloud Comm -> Badges console and you can set the custom sender name.
 
**Changing the name will only affect badges awarded after the change was made.

Custom Badge Rules

 
Many customers have asked for the ability to have other systems and custom events create badges for their employees. In this release, administrators can now create custom badge rules that can be triggered by other systems or custom MicroApps
 
How to use it: Navigate to Cloud Comm -> Badges console and create a new badge. In the new badge editor, you now have ability to define a trigger key and how many points are needed to earn the badge. Please engage with your customer success manager for integration options.

My Messages Digest

 
In this latest release, cloud comm authors can be subscribed to a Digest that only provides updates for the content they have authored.
 
How to use it: In the Cloud Comm -> New Digest -> My Messages Digest console you can now register authors for this type of Digest.

Terms of use Export

 
The ability to use the terms of use report has been added allowing administrators to export which employees have accepted which term of use version.
 
How to use it: In the Tenant Admin-> Terms of Use console, a new export action is available. Click to view the export report in CSV format.

Convert existing group to External Group for GroupSync integration

 
Some of our customers have existing groups created in the Groups console that they would like to start synchronizing with a back-end system of record. This release enables an administrator to set an external group id for new and existing groups.
 
How to use it: Navigate to Cloud Comm -> Group console and select any group. With this feature you can now do the following:

  • Edit the external group Id for and existing external group
  • Add an external group id for a group that was created in the console.
New Hub Released

 
A new version of the Sitrion ONE Hub has been released. This version introduces two new features:

  • Multiple hub redundancy support
  • DNS based firewall rule support.

 
How to use it: Navigate to Tenant Admin-> Get Started console to download the latest version. Reference the latest documentation on the Sitrion Support portal here

New Windows Collector Service available for GroupSync

A new version of our windows collector service for GroupSync is available which addresses a few issues some of our customers. Consult with your customer success manager for more details if you would like to update this service.
